If I put on one make up product, it’s concealer. With my dark undereye circles, redness, and the occasional breakout, concealer can make all the difference. The natural few I’ve tried haven’t had full coverage, so I’m still on a quest for the perfect one. Recently, I tried the 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Long Lasting Concealer. Here are my thoughts.
Honestly? It’s okay.
I have applied it both with fingers and a variety of sponges (1, 2, and 3) and it blends nearly seamlessly. There’s no looking creased or cakey. It covers large areas of redness nicely and applies to textured skin without clinging thanks to the silky formula that’s packed with nontoxic natural ingredients. The functionality of the packaging is great, too. There is a small mirror inside the compact, which is great for touch-ups on the go!
Maybe you’re thinking, “So what’s the problem?” and frankly, it just doesn’t have enough coverage for my undereye area and it has a reflective finish when applied over darkness, which looks a bit strange. If you have very prominent discoloration, unfortunately, this isn’t the one for you.
Another issue is when it comes to covering acne. The slippery texture can work against you here because it tends to pull away from the spot. It’s workable, but I’m confident there are better concealers out there.
Lastly, I hit pan very quickly. For $25, there doesn’t seem to be much product.
Ultimately, if you’re covering more than redness or minor discoloration, I’d pass on this product. On a positive note, I was using this concealer in conjunction with this tinted moisturizer by 100% Pure and it’s great! See my review here.
Well, I suppose it’s time to continue my quest to cover my dark circles and find a new concealer to test. Leave your recommendations below!
