Happy Sunday! Today I’m sharing my beginner bullet journal setup and why I love the system. It can seem confusing at first, but it’s actually quite simple. If you don’t know what bullet journaling is, there are a ton of very thorough explanations online. To summarize, a bullet journal is a catch all for everything in your life. It’s a planner plus whatever you want it to be. That could be a habit and sleep tracker, lists, your budget, journaling, doodling, a space for random thoughts and anything that’s important to you. It is completely customizable. All you need is a notebook, a pen and lots of things you want to keep track of.

My June Setup
In this video, I talk through all of my spreads while drawing them. There are some blogger specific sections, so if you’re a blogger in need of organization, here’s some inspiration! Of course, anyone can modify my system to fit their needs.
Why I Bullet Journal
I’m the kind of person that needs to write everything down. If I need to do something and don’t put it on my calendar or in a to do list, then I’ll probably forget about it. I also constantly have ideas for blog posts or things I want to do in my personal life, so I just have random notes everywhere. Yeah, not the most organized way to live.
With the bullet journal, I can keep everything in one place. Traditional planners are too restrictive and can only hold a fraction of what I need. I find that it is especially beneficial for blogging because there is a variety of information I want to keep track of.
It also gives you the opportunity to get creative and have complete control over the look of your bullet journal. There are so many cool ones out there! I’m not very good at drawing, so I don’t really decorate mine, but I am kind of a control freak, so I appreciate that every detail is up to me.
