I think the title makes this sound way bigger than it really is.
Hi, guys! I hope you’re all having a great Sunday (or any other day). I try to keep my blog posts informative and concise, but sometimes I just need to write a rambling blog post. I promise I won’t get too carried away.
If you’re a very dedicated reader (thank you), you may have noticed that I didn’t post last Thursday. In short, it’s been hectic, I’ve been tired, and the blog has been neglected. I did attempt to put together an easy nail art tutorial for people like myself who aren’t great at nails, but about halfway through, I realized it was looking crazy because I was just too sleepy, so I nixed it. If you are interested in that post, I’ll attempt it again.
Honestly, I’m one of those always tired people, but lately it’s been on a whole new level. The fall semester has begun and it has just drained me. It’s silly because I’ve been in school for what feels like forever, but the start of semester still gets me every time. Anyone else? There has been a little extra stress this time due to university systems malfunctioning, not enough parking, one horrible class, road work and very long days. Blogging, exercising, even staying neat and tidy to be honest, have all fallen by the wayside while I try to get my bearings. All I’ve really been doing to tasks related to college, eating and sleeping. Not much fun.
Of course, I’m striving for balance. I’m all about that self improvement life, so I’m working on finding out the best way to handle everything on my plate. Some discoveries so far include using time stuck on campus between classes to do most of my class work, exercising as soon as I get home in the evening instead of going into chill mode and realizing that I have to take a step back.
If you weren’t aware, I’ve been posting every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday along with a YouTube video. As much as I love sharing with you all, I don’t think I can maintain that on top of coursework. For now, there will blog posts up every Tuesday and Thursday. On Sundays, there will just be a video. You can subscribe to my channel to be notified of my videos, or you can follow me on Instagram because I mention new uploads there as well.
Hopefully, I can pick up Sunday posts again soon, but I just don’t want to get too overwhelmed. I know cutting back one post a week may not seem like a very big deal, but it is to me. It actually breaks my heart a little bit because I love blogging so much. On the other hand, I also value my sanity and I think you’d rather have two quality posts per week than three potentially (probably) rushed ones.
Thanks for reading the last Sunday post for now. To any of you that are back to school or have had your routine turned upside down, I feel you. Let’s do our best to see this as opportunity for a fresh start and do better. Hopefully, I’ll be back again soon, but in the meantime you can count on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
