Versatile Blogger Award

IMG_5457After a brief blogging hiatus, I thought it was best to come back with something light and conveniently the lovely Carina tagged me for the versatile blogger award. I always like to see these posts circulating in the community because it’s a nice way to recognize your fellow bloggers and have some fun. Stay tuned to learn a bit more about me and who I think should do this next.

Firstly, thank you to Carina for tagging me. If you’re not following her already, be sure to check out her blog to see all vegan and lifestyle goodness.

Now it’s time to share seven things about myself, which I’ve found to be much harder than it sounds. I can never quite remember what I’ve already shared, but hopefully none of these are repeats.

With that being said, I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I think it’s worth repeating. I started my blog in December 2016, but I had been thinking about it for years before that. I was just too scared to start although I’m not totally sure why. Although my blog is more established now, there are still plenty of times where I doubt my content or abilities. It’s so easy to look at someone online and think they have it all together, but big and small bloggers alike are insecure or unsure what they’re doing at times. Alright, my little lesson is over! We can talk about other things now.

Currently, my life consists of studying, blogging and not much else. I’m always joke that I’m really an 80 year old woman in a 21 year old’s body because I don’t engage in a lot of the classic activities and behaviors of young people. I just like to be cozy at home and as stress free as possible. No parties, no drama, no all nighters to finish assignments, no obnoxious or reckless behavior, just no. I don’t even go out after dark if I don’t have to.  Each to their own, but that kind of lifestyle isn’t for me.

Version 2

On a incredibly stereotypical note, I am a beauty blogger of sorts and I loathe when my nails aren’t painted. When it comes to makeup and hair, I’m pretty low maintenance day to day, but nails? If they aren’t long, filed to a almond shape and painted, it just makes me a little sad.

Maybe it’s a reaction to not being able to have long nails for many years because growing up, I was involved in martial arts. I even competed in tournaments pretty regularly for a few years. Yes, that means I fought people, but’s not as scary or tough as it sounds. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to it, but I do want build on the meditative practices I was taught.

I actually have a ton of things that I want to work on and skills I want to develop. I’m definitely someone who loves feeling that I’m making progress and always getting better. I just like learning and most of the time that means turning to the internet and teach myself how to do something. It’s cool that now I can be a resource for other people who want to learn, even if it’s just about if a certain beauty product performs or not.

These seven facts are turned into a bit of ramble, so I’ll keep the last three short and sweet.

I love podcasts. As soon as a new episode is released, I listen to it. I wish I could savor them, but I’m a binge listener. Let me know if you have any favorites I should listen too!

I started a YouTube channel last summer. It’s a little cringey. Videos (even bad ones) are way more work than they seem, so I’m not posting currently, but I do plan to go back to it eventually.

I took German for six years, but I still can’t speak it fluently or quite understand everything, which annoys me to no end. Honestly, a lot of those middle school/high school years were wasted on me. I want to improve it and I used that as justification for watching Dark basically all weekend. If you haven’t watched it, do. It’s really good and counts as German practice.

As for who should do this next, I tag

Be sure to check out the ladies I mentioned and hopefully I’ll talk to you on Thursday. I promise I’m trying to get back to three posts a week. I’ll get there sooner or later!

  2. Thanks for tagging me! Will start thinking up some bits. I’m also super into podcasts! I only have a few I listen to regularly though, I’m so fussy with it. The grandma/cozy life is the life for me as well! x
