When it comes to weekend trips, I think I’m pretty good at packing light. I do bring the occasional unnecessary item or two; work out clothes, I’m looking at you. My makeup bag on the other hand is just enough. Since I’m currently away, I thought I’d give you a little peek into what makeup I brought along.
It’s been a minute. Actually it’s been several weeks, but I am finally back! Though it is comically late to share my February favorites, I think it’s a good way to get back into the swing of things and you guys seem to enjoy these posts. Of course, I’ll also be sharing why I disappeared from the internet and what I’ve been up to offline. It’s going to be a ramble, so get ready.
Happy Sunday! I hope you’re all having a cozy day. My week was very busy, so I’m in need of some relaxation today. Because I’m living in pajamas and would be browsing makeup anyway, I thought I’d share the products that have piqued my interest lately. I think they all have to potential to be amazing or a total disaster, so I can’t help but be curious.
Oh, January. I’m not sad to see you go. For some it brings motivation and a fresh start, but the new year just turns me into a slug. This month wasn’t all bad though, so today we’re talking favorites. If you haven’t read one my monthly favorites before, I bring a mix of beauty, fashion and randoms. I especially love all the things I’m sharing with you this month.
I’m not one to bash products. Of course I give honest reviews, but outside of that if I don’t like it, I just don’t talk about it. On the other hand, I think what beauty products I don’t use can be just as insightful as what I love, so today I rounded up the products that have no place in my makeup, skincare, or haircare routine.
Merry Christmas Eve! For those of you celebrating today and tomorrow, I wanted to create a look that’s subtly festive and universally flattering. The result is this soft shimmering makeup that takes just a few products and minutes.
I finally used up the last drop of my beloved 100 Percent Pure BB Cream, so of course I took the opportunity to place an order from Petit Vour. It’s my favorite one stop shop for vegan and cruelty free nontoxic beauty. They have a great selection and you earn 20% back in store credit with every purchase. It’s a dream. Everyone loves a good haul, so today I’m showing you what I picked up and how it’s performing so far.
You know those giveaways that you always enter, but never win? Yeah, me too, except I actually won an Au Naturale lipstick giveaway! I think you won too because now I can review and swatch three shades of their Eternity Lipsticks, so you know how they perform. Let’s get to it.
I’m nearly too tired to function and it’s only Tuesday. It was a busy weekend moving into my new place, but it all went well. Combined with coursework and not enough sleep, I’m feeling a little exhausted. You know what I always have enough energy for though? Shopping.
So far this autumn we’ve talked about my fall wardrobe essentials, how to eat seasonally and I thought it was only right to include a festive makeup tutorial because I, like most, love warm reddish tones on the eyes. Today I’m showing you how to create this easy halo eye look using all nontoxic, vegan and cruelty free makeup. I love how cool, effortless and a little grungy it looks. I could happily wear this everyday. I’m not even good at applying eye shadow either, so if I can do this, you totally can.
