I’m not one to bash products. Of course I give honest reviews, but outside of that if I don’t like it, I just don’t talk about it. On the other hand, I think what beauty products I don’t use can be just as insightful as what I love, so today I rounded up the products that have no place in my makeup, skincare, or haircare routine.
Much to my dismay, as soon as the season changes, so does my skin and it’s not for the better. Winter typically means dry irritated skin that nothing can seem to heal. This year, I’m taking preventive action and saving my skin from winter before snow even hits the ground.
I’m nearly too tired to function and it’s only Tuesday. It was a busy weekend moving into my new place, but it all went well. Combined with coursework and not enough sleep, I’m feeling a little exhausted. You know what I always have enough energy for though? Shopping.
Happy Friday! I thought we’d do something a bit different and fun today. Some of my favorite posts to write are green beauty reviews and you all seem to love them too. My last review was rather luxurious and it made me wonder what other high priced items are worth every penny. Here are five nontoxic, vegan and cruelty-free beauty products that are totally splurge-worthy.
It’s not often that I make an impulse purchase, but I made a sneaky detour into my grocery store’s natural beauty section, which is surprisingly great, and I saw the Acure Organics Radical Resurfacing Treatment. You know I love their seriously glowing serum and brightening scrub, so I decided to give it a try. The claims? Reduce blotchiness and hyperpigmentation, which are all too familiar to me. I’ve used it for one month now and honestly, I’m conflicted.
A few weeks ago, I gave my skincare routine a little makeover. My previous routine was preventing my skin from getting worse, but I knew it could be better. I finally changed how I cleanse my skin and it changed everything! All this time, I’ve been focusing on finding the right serums and moisturizers when how I washed my face was the culprit.
I’ve been aware of oil cleansing for a couple years and used it to take off my makeup, but I never realized what a difference oil could make by using it as my primary cleanser. The best part? It’s suitable for all skin types! If you have dry, oily, mature, acne prone, textured, irritated or sensitive skin, you have to try oil cleansing. My skin is the best it’s been in years.
Before my bag of empties grows anymore, I thought it was time we took a look at everything I’ve used up. I always use products for a few weeks before reviewing them, so consider these ones super tested. There’s a pretty good variety of products, but they are all nontoxic, vegan, and cruelty free.
It’s a little early to share my monthly favorites, but well, want the truth? It’s been a bit hectic, but I’m determined to get a post up. Favorites are easy (and fun) to put together. Plus, it gives me a chance to talk to you about a few things I’ve been loving. As usual, there’s a bit of everything.
Are we making breakfast or beauty products? The picture looks like it could go either way, but I’m sharing five simple beauty DIYs that really work. I know because I’ve used them for years. The ingredients are vegan, nontoxic and probably in your cupboard already. We have something for the face, body and hair. Enjoy!
