I swear time is moving at record speed and summer is dwindling already, but I’m determined to soak up every last second. Before we get too deep in August, let’s take a look back at what I loved last month.
Thanks to a recent flare up of my very sensitive skin, I’ve been reminded of all the other times my skin has been angry and it was completely my fault. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way and in terms of skincare, I have. Hopefully sharing my fails will spare you the pain. Literally.
May was the month when I thought it would all calm down, but it only got crazier. I’m learning to stop putting expectations on things because for better or worse they are typically wrong. Another good habit I’ve adopted? Keeping a running list of favorites to share with you. It’s mostly green beauty and ethical fashion, but then again what else would it be? Let’s get into it.
April feels like a blur. Despite not remembering exactly what happened, I have some favorites to share with you.
It’s been a minute. Actually it’s been several weeks, but I am finally back! Though it is comically late to share my February favorites, I think it’s a good way to get back into the swing of things and you guys seem to enjoy these posts. Of course, I’ll also be sharing why I disappeared from the internet and what I’ve been up to offline. It’s going to be a ramble, so get ready.
Oh, January. I’m not sad to see you go. For some it brings motivation and a fresh start, but the new year just turns me into a slug. This month wasn’t all bad though, so today we’re talking favorites. If you haven’t read one my monthly favorites before, I bring a mix of beauty, fashion and randoms. I especially love all the things I’m sharing with you this month.
To those of you who have your perfect skincare routine nailed down, I am envious. I’ve been trying to figure out my skin for years, but in the last few weeks I think I’ve gotten much closer. I don’t know the last time I switched so many products, but it has been well worth it because my dry, reactive skin is now behaving this winter. That never happens. If you need some skincare inspo, you’re in the right place.
I’m not one to bash products. Of course I give honest reviews, but outside of that if I don’t like it, I just don’t talk about it. On the other hand, I think what beauty products I don’t use can be just as insightful as what I love, so today I rounded up the products that have no place in my makeup, skincare, or haircare routine.
Much to my dismay, as soon as the season changes, so does my skin and it’s not for the better. Winter typically means dry irritated skin that nothing can seem to heal. This year, I’m taking preventive action and saving my skin from winter before snow even hits the ground.
I’m nearly too tired to function and it’s only Tuesday. It was a busy weekend moving into my new place, but it all went well. Combined with coursework and not enough sleep, I’m feeling a little exhausted. You know what I always have enough energy for though? Shopping.
